This is a "build it yourself" 1911 kit, in Fusion Freedom Series Long-Slide Model. It is a classic Colt Long-slide configuration with solid bar-stock government frame and bar-stock 6" slide chambered in 9mm, 10mm, or 45acp. These pre-fit kits come completely machined and make for an enjoyable build for the beginner and the advanced builder alike. Only small hand tools such as a hammer, pin punches, and possibly files/stones are needed to complete these kits. Other than the grips & magazine, this 1911 pistol kit comes with all parts necessary to build your own superior 1911 pistol. Features included with this rugged 70 series pistol kit are: thick Fusion "Easy Grip" rear cocking serrations, target-crowned HD-chrome moly barrel, beavertail grip safety, extended combat style thumb safety, extended slide stop, mag-well maingspring housing, and checkered front & rear strap. All Freedom Series pistol kits are of all steel construction, no 2-piece barrels and no plastic parts to be found. Keeping the tradition of craftsmanship alive and now more affordable. Shipping to an FFL is required for the serialized Frame.

Some fitting and tuning will be required, you will need some small hand tools, files, polishing stones...etc. We have taken most of the work out, such as the barrel fitting, frame to slide and sights cuts. We have been supplying 1911 Kits for over 10 years now and we find that most folks don't have the proper equipment for these operations and need help. We also have custom kits available in the Pro-Series for the more advanced builders. These we make up in a customer spec'ed configuration and are handled in the Fusion Firearms custom shop.

Fun Build
I bought one of these 80% kits about 3 weeks ago and had a great time the last three weekends putting it together. I got it firing and working flawlessly yesterday and now i am stripping it back down to get all of the parts re-finished. Im sending them back to fusion to get the Yukon coat on the frame and the black shield for the slide and have all of the accent parts chromed. Should be my dream guns once its all said and done. I consider myself a novice builder and I can say I learned a lot doing this build in terms of finishing the rail cuts and fitting the barrel bed of the frame. Great deal in my book.
