I don't know where to start. Machine work is awesome, no machine marks anywhere. Fit and finish...perfect. Customer service....awesome. My Bantam R will be a great carry gun after I get some time on the range with it.
Update....17 November 2018.
There is nothing to change from the above, but I need to change the review, keeping with the spirit of full disclosure.
My gun developed a problem after about 200 - 250 rounds, it would not return to battery. I contacted Bob and sent him a video of the issue. Within a day he was back to me and parts were on the way. I changed out the recoil system and back to the range I went hoping the issue was solved, but that was not the case. Contacted Bob again and a mailing label was in my email the next day. I boxed it up and sent it in. Evidently there was some metal on metal contact between the recoil system and the barrel that should not have been there. Bob had it fixed and back to me inside of a couple weeks....six of those days belong to USPS. I have put another hundred rounds or so through it and the issue appears to be gone.
The gun itself is far and away the most accurate 1911 I have shot. It actually gets boring because the bullets just go right where you are aiming. It doesn't seem to matter if it is ten feet, 10 yards or 20 yards. The bullets go where you are pointing.
The trigger is not the lightest trigger I have shot, but it is the most consistent. There is no take up, no slack, no over travel. When you pull the trigger it breaks cleanly and crisply at about 3 pounds.
I am not a guy that normally buys 1911s that run north of a grand or buying it online, but the crew at Fusion took the order, got the upgrades I wanted on the gun and when there was an issue they resolved it in short order. I give them five stars for customer service and four stars for the gun as it had to go back.
Would I order another Fusion....that isn't even a question....yes I would....and eventually will.
