Fusion Tech Tip: Loctite

Friday, October 6, 2017 12:51:23 PM America/New_York

Many folks ask what Loctite to use on grip bushings and grip screws. Well, that is easy, On the Grip Screw, NO Loctite ever, just a drop of oil. On the grip bushings, I prefer the red 271 Loctite or equivalent. Basically clean the frame treads and bushings with acetone or alcohol and then add a drop of the Loctite and screw in place. If you want to ever remover the grip screw bushings, just heat the base of the bushing with a candle lighter to soften the loctite bond and then remove your bushings.
